Scrolling Problem

I got a large screen with my new computer (thanks to Costco!!).

My application scrolls the controls in the dialog quite nicely, using code to detect when the thumb part reaches minimum or maximum. My problem comes when I test the application on a system with a smaller screen. The thumb part reaches the maximum before scrolling has reached the end. I'm sure there is a way to compute the parameters, but I don't know where to start.
