USB Devices

Hi - I hope this is the right place to post this question:

I am writing some software to run from a U3 USB device.  These devices basically have 2 drives, one that mimics a CD and another that is a standard USB RAM drive.  Basically having the drive letter for one of these drives, I need to identify the others.  I know that Windows knows because if I were to "Safely Remove" one drive it removes all drives on the same device.

Any help will be very gratefully recieved, if this thread is the wrong place please let me know.
