I have had this code for years, and it has always annoyed me that it never showed the working directory properly, so I changed the static control for an edit control, tidied up the code a bit, and here we are. It displays 150 x 150 thumbnails of GIF, JPG and BMP  files, and optionally displays the selected file in the main window
