For those of you that are using an older version of windows such as Win 7 or 8.x and use the Chrome browser, you will have noticed that every time you open Chrome it reminds you that Win 7 / 8 is now unsupported.

Here's an easy way to remove that nagging message...

1. Press the windows key and type in Regedit
2. Right click on Regedit / Registry Editor and select "run as administrator"
3. Now navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies

Now, step 4, Right click on Policies and select "new key" call it Google (if there isn't already a key called that) - Important - make sure you spell Google with a capital G!

5. Now Right click on the new "Google" key
6. Select "New key" call it Chrome (if there isn't already a key called that) - Make sure Chrome is with a capital C!

7. Right click on the Chrome key and select "New DWORD (32 bit)
8. Name this new DWORD SuppressUnsupportedOSWarning
9. Set the value to 1
10. Exit the registry editor and restart windows.

See attachment, if you've done it correctly it should look like that.

Now, when you go to open Chrome that message should be gone!

Andy.
