Strange boxes

I've noticed for some time now that strange boxes can appear in one of my windows (see attached).

I have checked out several times the code / controls for this window, and no where am I creating / using / hiding any other controls at these location in the window other than what you are supposed to see.

They don't always appear, in fact they are the exception to the rule - but what could be causing them?

Any ideas?

That looks like a windoz artifact from a mouse button pressed while moving the moust.
Not a Windoz person so just a guess.

Thanks for that Larry.

Brian seems to recall seeing this problem before and suggested it was to do with check boxes.

He suggested changing @CTEDITLEFT to zero.

And would you believe it, it seems to have fixed the issue - nice one Brian! 

As to why there was a problem, who knows?

Anyway, it's fixed.
