Custom printer routines

I'm trying to modify my print preview routine so that it will print recipe cards and I'm not having any luck for some reason.
I'm wanting to be able to print 3x5,4x6,5x8, & 8.5 x11. while maintaining the same size font.
The two problems I'm having is either the font gets scaled or the text isn't shifted to the left side of the card(actually off the card).

My question is: Has anyone written any code along those lines?
