Calculating how many lines / characters on a page

Try this. It's a quick hack demonstrating how easy it is to use a RE control. If this works ok on your printer, why not investigate the other RE possibilities?
With @RTSAVE you can even preset the margins, but personally I have never tried it though.

Yes that does work on my printer.

However you need to send what you want printing to a file, then open it with the rich edit control, and finally print it.

The PrintLine lib file allows direct printing to a printer.

But I like your idea though!
