I am a bit color blind - I can not make out the detail in the yellow.

Me too.  I think good contrast is important in a logo.  I do like the idea though.

This sorta stalled - still looking for the new Logo.

Anyone got anymore ideas?

Hi all. Thought I'd come back and see what everyone's up to. I've been doing iPhone stuff lately, and haven't had much time for Windows. I see a few old faces still here though :)

I knocked up a couple of logos, just thinking out loud. I'll try some others if you're still interested. There are a couple of options attached. The text versions could be used in white over the image.

Cheers,
Andrew.

I like these Andrew - they have a new look.
Can you do one for IWBasic?

I like that last one Copex. Has a painterly feel to it.

@Larry: That's what I was thinking with the iw only logo. Just adding the product after it (in verdana) would consolidate any products you had under the one brand (as attached).

Cheers,
Andrew.

Andrew
I deleted that one attachment because it got corrupted somehow.
You can repost it.

We're going to need new icons for:
the IWBasic IDE, for iwb files, inc files, iwp files
the aurora IDE and it's files
the Snippet Manager
etc.

Ah. So they're not offensive then?! Attached again.

No, not at all.  I apologize for not explaining sooner.

OK. Some icons attached. I can't upload .ico files to the board, so I've zipped them. Included in the zip file are iwp, iwb, inc and application icons for both Aurora and Basic in 48x48, 32x32 and 16x16 formats.

Cheers,
Andrew.

I like the colors in both sets.

I'm having a difficult time telling any difference between the *.icon.ico and the *.project.ico

I'm assuming that *.icon is for the IDE
and that iwa and iwb are for source files
and that the two projects are for what are now ebp and awp files.

Also with the 16x16 I can't hardly see the diff between iwa/b and inc

Might just be these old eyes.

Ah. OK. The differences are possibly too subtle. The project icons are flat rather than bevelled, they're smaller, and they have a shadow behind them.

Yes, the project icons are for what are currently ebp and awp files (I assume they're going to be the .iwp files), and the icon is for the ide.

I'll revisit them when I have some more time. Just a first draft, really.

Cheers,
Andrew.

Yeah, I'm not absolutely sure what the final file extensions will be.
I really don't even know if Larry is going to change the name of Aurora.

I like the Icons but they get lost on the desktop - they need to stand out and be notable associated with the product.
I do have another name in mind for Aurora but am too busy now to deal with it.
All .eb? extensions will become iw?

The new logo looks good my personal liking would be for different colours , say along blue shades. Good thinking all the best.
