saving a file

Hello

I have noticed that if I close a .EBA-file in the editor the file is saved as it is in this moment with no question if I want to.
Just opening and closing a file marks the file with actual date and time as last modified even if there were no modifications.

I think this is strange, because I cannot see the real last modified date and time.

Has this always been so ? or do I something wrong
