IDE enviornment

Hi, Im a Newbie to Emergence Basic. 
I was compling and running the examples to get familar with the tool, code and language.
Emergence just stopped and I had to kill the process.
I brought it up with no problem but its is missing the menu bar.
When it initializes I can see the bar but when it stablizes its gone.
Has anyone experienced this before ?

I would uninstall/reinstall.  Sounds like the registry settings for emergence were corrupted.
