Copy minede.zip into your favourite directory,
rename minede.zip to minede (mv ./minede.zip minede),
change its permission to 755 (chmod 755 ./minede),

I can not get the zip file to open - tells me it is corrupt.
Never mind - I should read stuff before I just go blasting around.
Works now.

Thanks for trying out, and thanks for Paul for sharing the EB-Linux preview.

Unfortunately the source is not EBasic because the lack of multiline editbox and other (few) things.
But as soon as possible, I will rewrite MinEDE in EBasic.

i was asking because, thats what i was thinking to do before ebmake but for limitations reasons i decide to do it that way ...
was wondering how you done some part of the code if it was ebasic

I will have the gtk text editing control ready to go next.  Might even look at integrating the source editing control.

Some of the first few things I tried involved the text control and bitmaps... in hopes of building a simple IDE. You answered my Q's on the bitmaps and it didn't take very long to give up on the obvious problems with the text control.

It's not a .zip file, it is a linux executable renamed as a.zip so it could be attached to the forums.  The Linux version has its own IDE now.
