ActiveX use tutorial? (Any ActiveX Gurus around?)

Well, after doing a search for "activex" and "Com", I havent been able to find any tutorials on how to use an activex control step by step. Lots of complete sources but no way (for me) to tell which  is needed and which is added on. Is there an ActiveX/Com guru here that can create a step by step tutorial on how to use an activex control in Aurora? For instance, using Jose's TypeLib 1.02 for all of the interfaces code/event sinks, etc, but how to actually create and use the control?
