Resource Compiler Error

Trying to compile a resource only dll (all bitmaps)
When I only had 50 or so everything worked fine.

I now have nearly 1000 and when I try to compile the dll
I get :

Compiling Resources...

Error!
Insufficient memory for the task

RES file not made
Error compiling resources

Is there some finite limit with resource files?
And if so, is there a work around?

1000 bitmaps that were each 50k
That equals 50 megs.
I converted all the bitmaps to fewer colors(smaller size bitmaps) and it compiled fine.

I didn't see anything in the GoRC manual about limits.  You could try the latest version and see if it helps.  Perhaps your machine was low on real memory (non paged).

I just converted all the bitmaps to monochrome, since that is what they were, and reduced the size of each from 50k to 2k and all is well in the world.
