There is no 2.0 version yet.

This page gives all the information relevant to the question:

The licensed version is the same as the subscribers versions.  It just uses a license key and is registered to a specific name.  I had a business contact me because their IT department wanted to use Emergence BASIC, but their company policy forbids them from using freeware or open source products on any any of their company workstations.  It also had to be able to be installed under a user account without admin intervention, hence the change in the 1.63 installer.

I extended the offer to individuals as there were users in the past that wanted to just purchase Emergence BASIC, and have support, like the old days. Buying the licensed version means you don't need to be a subscriber to get support.  It is being offered for all point revisions up until the next major version number.

Hope that clears it up for you.

Paul.

hi paul, I know that the version 2.0 has not yet been released. I wanted to know what's new planned for it.

gjaking,
Again you misunderstood that page on the site.  The licensed version entitles the purchaser to forum access and point revisions such as 1.64, 1.7, 1.8, etc.

Major revisions such as 1.xx to 2.0, or 2.xx to 3.0 will be offered at a discount to licensed users.  Which keeps it 'fair' between subscribers and licensed users.

We are nowhere close to a 2.0 version yet, and I don't have anything specific in mind for a version that will be released that far in the future.

Paul.
