Title: Constants search Version 5 - here.
Post by: Andy on November 17, 2018, 05:58:39 AM
I hope no one minds, but I've posted this separately from the previous versions.

This really is my last offering of the program - but not the library file, which I will continue to add to.

What is in version 5?

A couple of setid calculation fixes.
Clicking "Clear builder" button, now renamed "Delete builder" program crash fixed.
More visually interactive, so you know what search you are doing.
You can now output the list view contents to the clipboard as well as to a text file.
Even easier to use with more keyboard shortcuts.
Vertically scrolls to the last constant / setid you've added in the builder.
Horizontally scrolls to the last style you've added.

As always, a pre-built .exe file so you can just add it to your IWB IDE tools - or use it anywhere.

If you like the program, please download this last version.

Library file also attached which you will need with almost 4,000 constants and some DirectX 3D constants - but more will be added.

Thanks to everyone who's helped along the way, especially Brian, who has tidied up behind me! and done a lot of testing, suggestions etc - thanks!

Enjoy.

Andy.

It comes in really handy when I have to use some constant and I don't know where is declared. Thanks!

Fasecero,

You are very very welcome.

Wrote this for pleasure, but it is nice to know it is useful and will be used!

Thanks,
Andy.

Other functions of the program (Version 5 above).

You can use Ctrl + T to toggle between viewing constants and set id's which are added to the builder section.

You can simply press the <Enter> key to add a constant to the builder, as well as double clicking, and of course the "Add to builder" button.

Above the number of controls listed text is another text that tell you which option was used to populate the list view, i.e. an option 1 search, or option 2 search for word or value.

Hiding the main window when selecting a file to save the list view has now been removed - it's not needed.

If you add a constant to the builder, the "Send list to file" button is disabled, or if the builder is empty, it is enabled - after all you either want to do one thing or the other.

Every little help!

Andy.
