Ionic Wind Software is pleased to announce the re-release of the updated IonicWind Serial Communications Library.

The Ionic Wind Serial Communications Library is a collection of easy to use commands to deal with the intricacies of reading and writing COM ports.  The commands work with all versions of Windows and do not require any external DLL's.

Features:
· Can manage multiple ports simultaneously
· Supports COM1 through COM256
· Supports blocking and non-blocking read operations.
· Can be used from Window mode or Console mode programs.
· Supports Windows 9x, XP, NT, Vista and Windows 7 .
· Completely stand-alone. Makes calls to core Windows API functions only.  

Requirements:
Any version of IWBasic or EBasic

This version includes a Help file.

Release of IonicWind Serial Communications Library version 2.01.

This release fixes a bug with the IWSetPort function.
Also corrects an associated error in the help file along with several typos.

The new version is ready for download. Register users should follow their previous instructions for downloading.

Release of IonicWind Serial Communications Library version 2.02.

This release fixes a bug where com ports 10 and above could not be opened.
Also corrects some minor error in the help file along with cosmetic changes..

The new version is ready for download from current users customer page.

Note: With the introduction of IWBasic 2.5 which doesn't use Registry entries the previous Install Wizard no longer works.
The download is now a self-extracting zip which contains all the necessary files along with a ReadMeFirst.txt file which explains where all the files need to be placed.
