Title: A Salutary Lesson
Post by: Brian on May 09, 2011, 07:10:20 AM
Aaargh! Just working on my latest and greatest. Pressed the compile button, and:

BSOD: PFN_LIST_CORRUPT

Rebooted. Now the file is full of NULLs. Yes, lost it all. I had a backup of the file
from last week, which is about 2kb smaller. Thank goodness I have something
to work on. Will make sure I have a copy of what I am currently working on
when I switch off now!

Think it could have something to do with memory, not sure yet. Will investigate

I keep my programs on Jump Drives, using a freeware program called PureSync to keep them in sync between 2 different PC's.  One running XP and the other doing Windows 7.  I try to remember to sync before I close down, so at worst I am 1 or 2 days off.
