Title: IWBasic evaluation
Post by: Sam on June 15, 2013, 04:27:06 PM
Hi all. I downloaded IWBasic to evaluate but it gives me 0 days to try it. I'm running Windows 7 64 and IWBasic is set to run in XP SP2 compatibility mode. When I click try, it just disappears. I tried doing the chat thing to get help but it won't accept my password.
Can anyone shed any light on this? Any help is most appreciated.

Sam

If you've ever installed any version of 2.x on your computer in the past then the trial period will show expired.
Also, the original copy  protection of IWB had some problems.
I don't know if LarryS ever fixed that on the demo.
You'll have to contact LarryS (Rock Ridge Farm (Larry) ) and let him help you.
He won't be back till Monday at the earliest.

In the meantime you can download the demo of IWB 2.5 beta, which is a completely new IDE written in IWBasic itself.  The limitation with this demo is that you can not compile and run any program.  But you can look at all the features and get a feel for the program.  If you are interested you can go to here and download it -> http://www.ionicwind.com/forums/index.php?topic=5214.msg39329#msg39329

BTW,what "chat" thing are you talking about?

Thanks Larry. I got it to run by setting the compatibility mode to Win98.
