I have an app I'd like to deliver as a single executable file, but it needs a dll (for which I have no source). Is it possible to put the dll together with my exe, so I don't have to install shield or some such, so a customer just needs to download the one resulting exe file to be able to run it on their PC?

I use Molebox for what you describe.

Thanks for the info. However, I'm lost here. I tried to run dll2lib, and it needed nasm, so I downloaded that, but there is no nasmw.exe. Besides that, I find the usage notes pretty much opaque; they seem to assume knowledge I don't have. Is there a simple set of steps to do what I want? Would molebox be a better choice for me? I can't really see putting out 99euros though, for what should be pretty much a one-shot use.
Thanks for any further help you can give me.

EBasic comes with nasm.exe
It's in the EBDev\bin directory
Also, if you read all 3 pages in the topic I referenced you will see an example of how to use it.

Thanks for pointing out that I didn't see all the relevant messages. It will take me awhile to digest, especially since I'm also busy with other things. I hope I won't have to ask for more help.
