I haven't had time to cut any code yet, but I have a question regarding printing in Aurora.
Will it be possible to use the ddoc app ( and DLL ) to print and preview? In the other language, some have used (or proposed using) ddoc to format print output. I haven't bought it yet (ddoc), but if it turns out to be useful in both IBPro and Aurora, it might be a worthwhile investment. The kinds of apps I am interested in writting generate lots of paper output so formatting is a big deal.
Don't know. Never used ddoc myself.
I'd be interested, also.
Isn't there a trial period? It would seem if it used a dll it would work.
If it worked with IBPro it would work with Aurora, the source code would look a little different, but not too much. We can help you convert the declarations, but I don't own that DLL myself and don't plan on it.
I will probably buy it (ddoc) next week and start applying it to my IBPro program, then I will port over to Aurora. This will take a little time to wrap up as I'm a self-employed engineer and way behind. I was just hoping someone had crossed that bridge already.
I would think that as a dll it should work o.k. It would just need the correct front end. When I go to purchase, I'll ask the author about it.
Thanks for the quick replies.
I have used Ddoc print & preview in IBPro and have just converted the inc file to Aurora it is very good have included a small test prog done with Aurora
your test app won't work without ddoc32.dll. I think ddoc32.dll is supposed to be free to distribute.
