Title: Can you make the ? in the toolbar bring help instead of about?
Post by: barry on November 29, 2006, 07:21:19 PM
I probably need help 1000 times for every time I need the about box.  With Ibasic I always hit the ? to get help because its there and it looks like help and then I have to get rid of the about box and load the menu for help and then after all that try to figure out what the heck I needed help with.  It's very distracting.

Any chance you would consider doing that?

Thanks,
Barry

Just highlight a keyword and hit F1.  Or hightlight a keyword, right click and select "search help".

Unfortunately the way the help system works there is no dedicated menu ID until the IDE starts.  Meaning the IDE looks in the compiler include files for what help file is available, then adds entries to the help menu, which may not be in the same order each time.

I am looking into replacing htmlHelp with something a little more advanced.

Paul.
