Title: It's a Train
Post by: GWS on February 02, 2014, 07:11:48 PM
Hi folks,

I came across this the other day on the internet, as an animated gif ..   :)

I thought it would look nice as a home-grown animation - so here it is - I like trains ..  ;D
The zip file includes an exe, for those who are sadly missing what Creative can do  ::)

Best wishes, :)

Graham

neat - I miss the old steam engines. I grew up just a few blocks from a large Mobil refinery and a bunch of other chemical plants.  I use to here them switching tank cars all the time.  And almost every time we went to downtown we drove along side a steam engine because the tracks ran down the middle of the 2 lane street.  You could almost reach out your car window and touch the train cars.

Graham,

I really like your train. I spent 7 years (one 3-year tour and
one 4-year tour) in England at RAF Chicksands. I would
catch the train in Bedford and go to London.

Thanks,

Bill

Glad you like it ..  ;D

I was surprised how easy it was to code.

I miss the steam trains too - they were so impressive.  My kids loved them.

Best wishes, :)

Yeah. It was from 65-68 and 75-79, and
they were fun.

Graham,

You're probably right. Well, my oldest son from my first marriage
was born at our hospital at South Rhislip (spelling?) in '66
and he still has a dual citizenship. He's drives semitrailer
out of Georgia. I believe it would called an articulated lorry
over there. Matter a fact, both from the 1st drive them.

Oh, there's a lot of things I miss.
