Title: Xbox 360 going to allow user game programming
Post by: Rock Ridge Farm (Larry) on August 18, 2006, 07:26:12 AM
Xbox using XNA is going to allow user game creation - can we hook into this?
It cost $99/yr to use XNA.
Could be a market for Aurora.

No we can't hook into it, XNA is a specific language that is written on the backbone of Framework 2.0
Think of XNA development as another OS for XBOX and PC for the latest operating system coming out called Vista.

The dev kit is free when it is released, you only have to subscribe if you want to share your work through there share services.

I get the kit at the end of the month, so I can tell you in 24 hours after I get the kit what it is capible of.

Also, you cannot charge for your work either, not with the express (free) edition.

XBox 360 uses a PowerPC type processor. I think that says enough...
